Une musique d'autant plus actuelle que Paul McCartney a fait son grand retour en annonçant mercredi 20 juin son prochain et 17ème album solo baptisé "Egypt Station" qui sortira le 7 septembre prochain.

Cinq ans après son dernier disque "New", Paul McCartney a dévoilé deux singles- "I Don't Know" et "Come On To Me"- extraits de l'album pour faire patienter les fans jusqu'à la rentrée.

L'artiste a expliqué sur son site internet que le titre "Egypt Station" faisait référence à un tableau éponyme qu'il avait lui-même peint. Une toile qui invitait surtout à "un voyage kaléidoscopique à travers une myriade de territoires Musicaux

Les Anglais de SATAN (NWOBHM) sortiront leur nouvel album, intitulé Cruel Magic, le 7 Septembre prochain via Metal Blade Records.
L'album a été enregistré au First Avenue Studio de Newcastle, en compagnie de Dave Curle, et mixé par Dario Mollo. L'artwork, quant à lui, a une nouvelle fois été réalisé par Eliran Kantor.

Blabbermouth — Sebastian Bach says that he was “jealous” when he first heard that Axl Rose landed the gig as the touring vocalist for AC/DC.

AC/DC postponed the last ten dates of its North American tour more than two years ago after doctors told singer Brian Johnson he faced a total loss of hearing if he did not stop touring immediately. AC/DC completed the tour in the summer of 2016, with the GUNS N’ ROSESfrontman as a “guest vocalist” and Johnson seemingly not returning to the group.

Bach, who has been friends with Rose since 1989, spoke about Axl getting the AC/DC job during a recent interview with “Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon”.

Asked what his reaction was when he first heard that Axl was going to be replacing Johnson on the road, Bach said: “I was jealous that I didn’t get a chance, ’cause I can fuckin’ sing AC/DCpretty fuckin’ good too, and I’m not just saying that. [Laughs]

“So, at first, I was, like, ‘Fuck, man!’ I was jealous,” he continued. “But then, of course, I understand, obviously, why he would ge the gig — because people don’t know how to sing anymore; it’s like a dying art.”

Bach went on to lament the lack of great new vocalists in rock, saying: “Maybe I haven’t heard any, but where is the new Jeff Buckley? Or where’s the new Steve Tyler? Okay, GRETA VAN FLEET — there’s the new Robert Plant; that’s for sure right there. But there’s a lack of original-sounding heavy metal vocalists. Unless I’m not hearing any. But I don’t know.

Vinnie Paul will be buried in a Kiss Casket from Gene & Paul, just like his brother Dimebag Darrell was

We’re told the casket was offered as a gift at Vinnie’s family’s request. His brother, “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott was buried in the original prototype in 2004 after his untimely death. As we reported … Vinnie died in his sleep this past week, but the cause of death is unknown for now. He was 54.
Vinnie will also be buried in some of his clothes — including his hat, shoes and flannel … among other items. We’re told Vinnie will be put into the ground Saturday at the same cemetery in Arlington, TX, where Darrell and his mom lie.

Kingdom Come celebrates debut album with 30 Year Anniversary Tour
LOS ANGELES, California — Hard rock band Kingdom Come was formed in 1987 and was quickly signed to Polydor Records. They released their first single “Get It On” which had a stranglehold on AOR radio in early 1988, prompting their self-titled debut album to ship gold. The quintet, comprised of guitarists Danny Stag and Rick Steier, bassist Johnny B. Frank, drummer James Kottak, and singer Lenny Wolf, took to the road immediately as part of the North American “Monsters of Rock” Tour alongside Van Halen, Scorpions, Metallica, and Dokken. In addition to touring and extensive radio airplay, they also became MTV favorites with such videos as “Get It On” and “What Love Can Be” helping the band to sell two million debut albums worldwide.

2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the release of that classic album prompting James Kottak to revive Kingdom Come. Along with original members Danny Stag, Rick Steier, Johnny B. Frank, a tour to commemorate the success of the band and album is born. Original singer Lenny Wolf declined to participate in the tour, but wishes the rest of the guys all the success and best in the world! Keith St. John (formerly of Montrose & Lynch Mob) will be stepping up to fill that large void, “but is definitely up to the job” according to the band members.

Guitarist Danny Stag says, “…we all love each other like brothers, get along, and laugh a lot. It’s like a miracle that this is finally happening!” Bassist Johnny B. Frank adds, “It was 30 years ago The Wolf recruited us, The Rock produced us, MTV aired us and Van Halen made us Monsters Of Rock. Grateful to Rock another day!!!”

Kingdom Come will tour in 2018 – 2019 performing their debut album in its entirety (when headlining) along with music from their second album In Your Face.

“Vince Neil has a bloated drinkers face, a pregnant looking belly and vocally he was ‘off’ at best” says Rn’R Experience
ROCK N’ ROLL EXPERIENCE — Holy Shit Hon, Vince f’n Neil is playin’ Dundalk!  That’s the exact reaction most patrons exclaimed when it was announced that former Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil would be headlining the Heritage Fest in glorious Dundalk, Maryland.

Dundalk Heritage Fest is an absolute shit show.  The stage is tiny, the barricade dividing the stage from the audience is made of chicken wire and compressed wood, the attendees appeared to be stuck in the late 80’s, wearing a bra was clearly not a popular option, and Vince Neil sounded as good as the amount of beers you consumed.

When Vince took the stage it was clear that he had been partying non stop since Motley Crue ended; he has a bloated drinkers face and a pregnant looking belly.  Vocally Mr. Neil was “off” at best.  Skipping every other word, haphazardly leading the crowd through sing-a-longs of “Home Sweet Home” and “Wild Side”, and drilling the legacy of Motley Crue to the ground, Vince and his backing band “Slaughter” performed a 9 song set, 8 of which were Motley covers.

Interesting side note, the price of admission was $8 which broke down to $1 per Motley cover Vince performed.

Vince has gained about 50 extra pounds since Motley ended and his onstage demeanor was lethargic and generally boring.  “Home Sweet Home” was butchered by Blando’s guitar intro/outro which lacked feeling and vibe.  When Tommy Lee left Motley Mick Mars performed the intro to “Home Sweet Home” on acoustic guitar and made it sound superb, Blando’s interpretation of the song was like watching a shitty cover band trying to perform the song.  It didn’t help that Blando’s guitar kept cutting out for part of the performance which showed how unprofessional the show felt at times.

RÉÉDITION APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION GUNS N ROSES 31 ANS PLUS TARD...


Rarement un disque aura été aussi vénéré et détesté que le premier album de Guns N’Roses, « Appetite For Destruction ». Trente et un ans après sa sortie, alors qu’il est réédité sous cinq formats anniversaire*, ce disque provoque toujours des réactions extrêmes dans la presse rock, qui soit crie au génie en réécoutant ses hymnes « Paradise City », « Welcome To The Jungle » et « Sweet Child O’Mine », soit fusille « un groupe de poseurs » qui n’a fait que recycler les riffs d’Aerosmith avec des paroles aussi machistes que simplistes du niveau de Mötley Crüe.
Après trois décennies, une chose est certaine : cet album a plus que marqué une génération. Il a laissé son empreinte sur l’histoire du rock, au même titre que le « Nevermind » de Nirvana, qu’on lui oppose malheureusement si souvent alors qu’aujourd’hui, l’ancien batteur du groupe, Dave Grohl, invite les Guns N’Roses sur scène à reprendre « It’s so easy ».

Les Australiens de KORITNI (Hard Rock) sortiront leur cinquième album studio, intitulé Rolling, le 31 Août prochain via Verycords.

L'album a été mixé, tout comme son prédécesseur, par Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, Joe Bonamassa, Aerosmith), et masterisé par Ryan Smith (AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Greta Van Fleet ...).
