What's your favourite Ace Frehley Solo? Comment Below! I had a lot of fun making this video, picking what are my 20 of my favourite Ace Frehley solos, and performing them in one take! I hope you enjoy the video, let me know what you think! Sorry if the backing tracks are a little off, I'm still pretty new to making all of my own backing tracks from scratch.

My interview with Matt Starr of the Ace Frehley band and Black Swan 3/30/21
28 vues•31 mars 2021
My interview with Matt Starr of the Ace Frehley band and Black Swan 3/30/21. Matt Starr is a world class drummer who has been in bands such as Mr. Big, Hookers and blow, Burning Rain, Beautiful Creatures, Black Swan and the Ace Frehley band. He has worked with Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake, Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow, Kevin Dubrow of Quiet Riot, Bruce Kulick of Kiss, Jeff Pilson of Foreigner and many others. In 2012 Starr joined guitarist and founding KISS member Ace Frehley. He played drums on Ace Frehley's 2014 release Space Invader. Starr was asked to play on the record after performing a few shows with Frehley in 2012. Starr also performed on Frehley's next release "Origins Vol 1", which featured the Free cover "Fire and Water", with KISS frontman Paul Stanley on lead vocals, as well as appearances by Slash, and others. He played on Ace’s cd Spaceman and his latest cd Origins volume 2.

3 ACE FREHLEY of KISS GUITAR Licks From The 70s W/Tabs (Weekend Licks Ep.13)
21 vues•5 avr. 2021
Ace Frehley is the original guitarist for the group 'Kiss' who gained massive popularity in the 1970's and then went on to become a household name for the decades to follow.
TIMESTAMPS/CHAPTERS 0:00 Intro 1:08 The Licks 1:49 Lick 1 Demo And Tabs 6:16 Lick 2 Demo And Tabs 9:39 Lick 3 Demo And Tabs 11:29 Outro
Ace is one of the first guys I listened to properly in "Rock Music" and one thing that always stood out to me in his style that I loved was his large wide vibrato and general style. His on stage theatrics such as the smoking pickups and the Catherine wheel attached to his headstock.
These 3 Licks incorporate a pentatonic scale run up through multiple E minor Scale positions, Unison Bends, bending, Hammer ons and Pull offs. Ace for me defined that early 70's rock guitar style. Great riffs, Great songs and great solo's. Great music.

Building An Ace Frehley Budokan Les Paul Custom
36 vues
My wife bought me this Gibson Les Paul Custom for my 50th Birthday. So I changed it from a black and gold hardware Cherry Sunburst Les Paul into an Ace Frehley Budokan guitar. The Budokan was released a few years back with a hefty $10k price tag, and they have only gone up in value, upwards to $35k US. This is the best way I can pay tribute to the ONLY SPACE MAN, Ace Frehley.

W.O.W. is the first solo studio album released by Wendy O. Williams in 1984 after her group, the Plasmatics, broke up .
In 1982, KISS asked for Wendy and the Plasmatics to appear as a Special Guest on their tour. By the end of the tour with KISS it was clear that, although the formal notice that Capitol Records didn't come for another for six months, the relationship with Capitol was done. Gene Simmons approached Wendy and Rod about producing the next Wendy O. Williams album. So as to avoid any wasted time in legal issues with Capitol Records, it was decided not to use the Plasmatics name on the record at all and was simply called W.O.W., the initials for Wendy O. Williams. Gene Simmons felt it would give him the freedom he wanted to add more new players to the album.
Wes Beech remained to play rhythm and lead and T. C. Tolliver, the drummer on Coup d'État, remained to play on the new album. Gene Simmons would play bass under the pseudonym of "Reginald Van Helsing", the only other new player on the album was lead guitarist Michael Ray to solve the technical challenges that had been a problem for several albums and had come to a head with the more complex music of Coup d'Etat. Gene also pulled in the talents of Ace Frehley, on "Bump 'N' Grind" who hadn't played with KISS since leaving the band in 1982, Paul Stanley, on "Ready to Rock" and then-current Kiss drummer Eric Carr on "Legends Never Die" as guests. The record was released through Passport/JEM.
Gene Simmons himself co-writes five tracks (which also carry the names of Plasmatics bassist Junior Romanelli and lead guitarist Richie Stotts, who aren't actually on the album).
