ALL SYSTEMS NO … Vinnie Vincent issues bold statement regarding pulling out of Rock N’ Pod Expo

Vinnie Vincent has made a statement about his recent decision to pull out of the Rock N’ Pod Expo 2.

Vincent was accused of backing out of a deal that was alleged to have already been in place for nearly 2 months.

Decibel Geek Podcast host Chris Cynscak talked in depth on the podcast about how things went down and Metal Sludge covered that HERE.

But Vincent wrote in a lengthy statement on his official Facebook page today stating what he claims “REALLY HAPPENED.”

The former Kiss guitarist writes: “I don’t owe anyone an explanation but I am willing to TELL YOU WHAT REALLY HAPPENED:

Chris Cynscak was a bonafide VINNIE VINCENT hater for years. When he showed himself to me in Atlanta as a fan, I turned the other cheek and agreed to bury my ill-feelings towards him. I went as far as extending by good faith in granting him a personal interview for his local podcast show to discuss an in depth subject matter.

Notwithstanding that favor, I granted him yet another favor after his numerous begging sessions with me to appear at his so-called Nashville show that he wanted to put on, despite the fact this fanboy was a novice and had no idea of how to organize a show.

However, what followed and developed were two very substantial reasons causing me to cancel a no-contract show.”

Vincent goes on for roughly a dozen paragraphs detailing past issues surrounding the related parties.

CAN’T STAND THE HEARTACHE … Skid Row’s Sabo on reuniting with Bach: “I don’t want to be traveling around with people I can’t stand.”

France's Loud TV conducted an interview with SKID ROW guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo and bassist Rachel Bolan at a recent stop on the band's European tour. You can watch the entire chat below. A few excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).

On the band's forthcoming studio album, tentatively due in 2019:

Rachel: "The last ten years, we started the 'United World Rebellion'. It's going to be a trilogy. We just decided to go with EPs because it was something different. We figured we get them out quicker and then we made two singer changes since the last one. [Laughs] But, yeah, we're working on the third installment. It's going to be a full-length record. We're working on it with Michael Wagener, who produced 'Revolutions Per Minute', 'Slave To The Grind' and our debut. It's going to be awesome. He's really excited; we're really excited to be working together with him. Snake and I have been writing like crazy and demoing songs. We're going to go into full-on pre-production next month. We hope to have a record out by early 2019. We have so many shows left on the year and he has a busy schedule that there's no conceivable way of actually getting it done. We can get it started, but it won't be done. We have a lot of songs written, but we tend to just write more than we need and we re-think stuff a lot. We've been writing with outside writers, friends of ours. We've never really done this. Snake and I have always written everything, either the two of us or with the guys in the band. This is a first for us, without a doubt and it's fun. It's been a lot of fun."

On the direction of the band's new material:

Snake: "We've been around for a long time. We started the band in 1986, so this is 32 years and everything always, it's a cliché, but it's true: Everything comes full circle. We started figuring out when we started the beginning of this trilogy that we were getting back to square one of why we started doing this in the first place. We found our original spirit again. It's always been SKID ROW throughout our career, but everything sort of, seems to me anyway, comes full circle. Lyrically and musically and melodically — it just seems, I don't know any other way to describe other than that it's powerful. Everything is always from here [points to heart]. Not so much from here [points to head]. That's been the basis of our band since we started it. We wanted to remain and always be true to who we are as individuals and as friends and as bandmembers. It's really important that you maintain that integrity and character throughout your work. Something really gratifying where we're at right now. I'm not sure what it is, but it's something really, really gratifying and inspiring, too. It's been a fun process. It's been completely different, like Rachel had just said with gathering the material and writing the material, it's been a different process and I think that's fed a lot into pushing the process further and pushing ourselves further. It's gratifying, is a way I would describe it."

On whether new singer ZP Theart (DRAGONFORCE, TANK, I AM I) has been involved in the songwriting process:

Snake: "He's been helping, for sure. He's contributed some stuff so far, like Rachel said, in the past, it's been the two of us in a room working and stuff like that. So, we're opening up the doors, so to speak and he certainly given us input to the songs so far. And that's only going to continue and grow. Once we get back home and we have some time where we're not touring and stuff like that and we can get in a room and everyone starts throwing the ideas around and whatnot, it will be much more of a contribution. The short answer is yes, he has."

On Theart:

Snake: "Such a great amount of positivity to the band."

Rachel: "Great energy."

Snake: "He's very much about the band, not about himself. It's like 'Okay, what can we do? Not how can I make my star shine brighter? What can we do? The five of us?' That's really been important. That's been our mantra our whole lives."

Rachel: "That's what a band is supposed to be about. About the band. As ZP joined the band and good stuff started happening for the band, touring-wise, just the attention and reception. Now, we have labels coming to us. And it's a really, really good feeling. People that we've known from the past and people that we have relationships with are, like, 'All right, what's going on there? We want to get in on this.' It's a great feeling to have people in your corner and we're looking really forward once we make the decision which label we go to. We can't wait. We can't wait to get this record going. It's going to be great. We're psyched."

On the constant calls for the band to reunite with former vocalist Sebastian Bach:

Rachel: "The only one that can put pressure on ourselves, is ourselves. If someone wants to complain about it and someone wants to post horrible things about it, don't fucking listen to us, man. There's so much more music out there to listen to if you're not happy. You know what? Do something with your life. Go out and do something. We're very happy and we're creative and this is it, man. If people got a problem with it, that's exactly what it is: It's their problem."

Snake: "At the end of the day, that's what matters the most. You have to be happy with what you do. This is our lives. It's not a job; it's our lives. Every day you go out there, you lay your heart out there, you lay your soul out there. You have to be happy and be able to look in the mirror and be able to look around that stage and say, 'I don't want to be anywhere else but onstage with those four other guys.' And that's what we have. That wasn't always the case. So, but now it is. That's all that matters is right here and right now. I don't want to be traveling around the world in a bus with people I can't stand. What's the point? I'll go flip burgers if [that makes me] happy."

SKID ROW's upcoming album is expected to include collaborations with several other artists, including members of SLIPKNOT and HALESTORM.

The follow-up to 2014's "Rise Of The Damnation Army - United World Rebellion: Chapter Two" and 2013's "United World Rebellion: Chapter One" will mark the band's first release with the South African-born, British-based Theart, who officially joined SKID ROW last year.

George Lynch says he was asked to join Ratt, but declined
Eddie Trunk — George Lynch was on Eddie Trunk’s Sirius/XM radio show this week and had lots to say.

Lynch talks about countless projects he’s involved in from music to movies.

The original Dokken guitarist talks about his band Lynch Mob, Ultra Phonics with Corey Glover and a Native American film project called Shadow Nation.

One subject that Trunk brings up is Ratt, to which Lynch becomes a little …shall we say…fidgety about.

Trunk says to Lynch: “Actually I heard you could talk about Ratt.”

Lynch replies: “Well it depends what you wanna talk about” with a giggle.

Trunk than adds: “Is it true you were offered the gig in Ratt?”

Lynch replies: “Uh huh.”

Trunk: “And you declined?”

Lynch replies again with: “Uh huh.”

Trunk: “Something you didn’t wanna do, the deal wasn’t right, anything you wanna say about it?”

Lynch (pauses): “Ahh, yeah, we just couldn’t come to an agreement on it.”

Trunk asks: “Something that could still be possible, or is it a dead issue?”

Lynch: “I don’t think so.”

Trunk: “Dead issue?”

Lynch (joking) adds: “They haven’t called me back. I’ve been staring at the phone,… waiting for the Ratt phone to ring.”

Trunk bursts out laughing as Lynch makes a little fun with the situation adding “I am playing with Blandini, hello! I don’t wanna play with Ratt.”
